Your daily work will include:

The Air Force Acquisition Executive Oversight Division, SAF/AQXE, requires assistance for the formulation, analysis, integration, and execution of program planning and evaluation, as well as risk, trade-off, requirements, alternatives, and feasibility studies that further the objectives of the DoD/Air Force Acquisition Community. Support gap analyses on programs identified in the Joint Capability Integration and Development System to inform the analytic community of effects-based, capability-oriented planning and incorporate efficiencies into the DoD/Air Force enterprise.

Role Responsibilities: Support integration and execution of program planning and evaluation.

• Provides consultation and support for data analytics for AF/AQXP Strategic Enterprise Performance Branch to identify trends/inform Air Force (AF) acquisitions performance decision-making.

• Develop/Maintain Acquisition Information and Insight tools to provide customer capability in extracting business intelligence from unstructured data through artificial intelligence and sentiment analysis.

• Conduct performance analysis and generate performance evaluations of Air Force (AF) Acquisition programs and supporting portfolios for assessment by AF Senior Leadership

• Engage with AF and DoD stakeholders at the Senior Leader level; provide technical assistance and consultation to AF leadership in support of their effort to formulate and maintain a set of metrics to observe performance trends and implement strategic improvements within acquisition program portfolios

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Compulsory:

• Ability to devise new analysis methods to accommodate ad hoc AF Senior Leader queries to support Branch vision and goals

• Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of military, civilian, and contractor stakeholders to gather data and requirements

• Ability to present complex technical concepts, processes, and products to a non-technical audience

• Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize in a high-paced environment

• Outstanding attention to detail, particularly concerning documentation

Waivable/Substitutable:

• Preferably a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data & Business Analytics, or Data Management

• Experience in data mining (both quantitative and qualitative), handling, visualization, trend analysis, and predictive analytics

• Experience using statistical computer languages (such as Python, R, SQL) for data handling and extraction of insights from large data sets

• Experience creating and using advanced machine-learning algorithms and statistics to enable a self-learning tool

• Experience with natural language processing

• Experience in predictive analytics and creation of data dashboards

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Compulsory: 3-5 yrs experience; Bachelor’s degree in business, policy, government, finance, contracting or any other related field

Waivable/Substitutable: A relevant Master’s degree may be considered equivalent to up to 3 years of experience

Work Schedule:
