Equifax is seeking an experienced Data Scientist who will play a key role in addressing the needs and projects of the US Data Science Marketing team. In this position, you will design supervised and unsupervised learning models, optimize, automate, and introduce innovative analytical solutions, working in conjunction with a team of expert and multidisciplinary international Data Scientists. Your shared objective will be to research and share best practices and cutting-edge market technologies.

What you’ll do

• Work with major clients and stakeholders to help develop proprietary analytical products and convey analytical results to key stakeholders through effective data visualizations, excellent presentation skills, and business language.
• Support the redesign of the data science model development lifecycle using the latest strategies and methods and inventing new ones when required.
• Handle project management, including defining business and technical requirements, planning resources, and designing analytical solutions.
• Provide recommendations and market knowledge that aids in solving complex business issues.
• Guarantee the quality control of all analytical outputs by junior and intermediate data scientists.
• Coach and guide junior and intermediate data scientists regarding career development and improving data science skillset.

What experience you need

• Bachelor's or higher degree in a quantitative discipline like Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Physics.
• 4+ years working experience as a data scientist using Python, SQL, or R in a large data environment.
• 4+ years of extensive knowledge in machine learning algorithms and statistics: regression, decision trees, scenario analysis, random forests, XGBoost, and unsupervised learning (cluster analysis).
• 4+ years of practical hands-on experience in designing, constructing, and implementing analytical solutions to solve real-world issues.
• 4+ years of experience working with machine learning software, such as scikit-learn, XGBoost, Tensorflow, PyTorch, Transformers.

• Experience in working with credit or fraud data and in leadership and mentorship.
• Expertise in the development and deployment of models in a cloud-based environment, preference for AWS or GCP.
