Role Purpose and Overview The Insight and Analytics (I&A) department at the Telegraph is comprised of Data Scientists, Researchers, Digital Analysts, and Insight Analysts. We are currently hiring a new Data Analyst to join the Subscriptions Insight & Analytics team. You will assist the Subscription team by providing on-time and correct reports, and conduct the in-depth analysis concentrating on subscriber associated metrics such as retention, engagement, and acquisitions. This will facilitate the business in understanding performance and pinpointing areas for enhancement to sustain our subscription business growth. This position will offer extensive exposure to data analytics and reporting and is a wonderful chance to become part of a fast-paced, high-output team. Key Responsibilities: - Actively present data and insights in a substantial and intriguing manner to reply to extensive business briefs. - Share knowledge and comprehension with the larger Insight and Analytics team, playing a crucial part in creating, maintaining, and enhancing the delivery of top-quality forecasting tools to provide key stakeholders from across the organization with actionable insight. - Advocate a metrics-oriented culture at the Telegraph. - Develop, through detailed training, an understanding of intricate analytics skills (e.g., SQL, modeling) Skills required for the role - A graduate with a numerical degree and/or experience within data insight/ analytics - Experience using a programming language such as SQL is preferred but not required. - Demonstrable use of Microsoft Office/Google Docs. - Demonstrable understanding of the modern digital publishing landscape and the various factors influencing digital performance. - An interest in honing complex data analysis skills. - Proactive, curious, self-assured, highly driven team player.
