About the Role

As our new Data Analytics Engineer, you will take a pivotal role in leveraging the potential of data to drive insightful decisions, aiding internal teams, and refining the experiences of our players. Your responsibilities will include the development, design, and maintenance of data pipelines and dashboards, comprehensive data analysis, and delivering actionable insights to our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Work alongside cross-functional teams to pinpoint data requirements, establish metrics, and craft dashboards and reports to track game performance and player interactions.
• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines to manage, process, and scrutinize extensive volumes of game-related data.
• Enhance SQL queries for heightened performance and efficiency, accommodating both real-time and batch processing needs.
• Analyze game telemetry data to identify trends, discern patterns, and unearth opportunities for optimization and increased monetization.
• Remain up-to-date with industry trends, leading practices, and emerging technologies within the realms of data engineering, analytics, and gaming.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Demonstrable can-do attitude, a zealous passion for continual learning, and a creative flair for resolving complex issues.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in data engineering and analytics, preferably within the gaming sector.
• Expert-level proficiency in SQL, with a strong grasp of both relational and NoSQL database principles and query optimization strategies.
• Powerful analytical and problem-solving skills, adept at translating business needs into technical implementations.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration capacities, thriving in team-driven environments.
• Proficiency in Python for effective data manipulation and automation tasks.
• Experience managing large-scale data sets using platforms such as BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and more.
• An enthusiasm for mobile gaming data sets or a vested interest in the gaming industry will be considered a plus.
