About the role: Gartner Digital Markets is seeking a dedicated Data Engineer for our Data Insights team in Gurugram, India. The Data Engineer will be accountable for our data platform, which uses next-generation big data technologies. Your role involves executing our data strategy through designing and developing the Data platform using AWS technologies, Airflow, Snowflake, among others, to provide reporting, BI, and Analytics solutions. You will work closely with both business and technical stakeholders to compile, analyze and transform data and to yield insight. What will you do: Primary responsibility includes designing and developing the data platform, which involves architecture, prototyping, and the development of data transformation and integration solutions. Converting raw data into meaningful information and insights using Analytics, Business Intelligence tools, and visualization applications. Provide technical expertise to design efficient solutions to consolidate data from RDBMS (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server), Enterprise Applications, and third-party APIs via ELT processes. Analyze and develop optimal design of data warehouse environments, analyze complicated distributed data deployments, and recommend performance optimization strategies. Design and develop both database and application interfaces between different internal and external systems for efficient and effective data capture and integration. Organize, optimize, and debug data-driven reporting, BI, and analytics applications. Document and maintain data dictionary to enable data democratization. Work with business and technical teams to meet their data requirements and to replicate data from their sources. What you will need: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems 2-4 years of practical experience in data architecture and designing and developing big data solutions Experience with Python, Object-Oriented Programming, and Functional Programming Extensive technical experience with SQL on RDBMS (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and Data warehouse schema definitions (Snowflake), data modeling, security, and design Strong analytical abilities with a flair for synthesizing data to design and deliver meaningful solutions Excellent Communication and Prioritization skills Ability to work collaboratively across the IT departments (infrastructure, development, back office groups) Ability to work independently or as a part of a team, in a fast-paced AGILE-SCRUM environment Takes responsibility for successful delivery of solutions Passionate about improving their skills in software development, frameworks, and technologies Who are we?
