As a Solutions Consultant on our Professional Services team, you will collaborate with clients on brief to mid-term customer projects tackling big data issues using the Databricks platform. Your tasks will include data engineering, data science, and cloud technology projects requiring integration with client systems, training, and other technical tasks to assist customers in extracting the most value from their data. You will report to the Manager of Professional Services.

The impact you will have:

  • You will participate in various technically impactful customer projects, possibly including constructing reference architectures, tutorials, and production-grade MVPs
  • You will guide vital customers as they execute transformative big data projects, inclusive of end-to-end design, building, and deployment of top-tier big data and AI applications
  • You will consult on architecture and design, setting up or executing customer strategic projects leading to successful comprehension, evaluation, and adoption of Databricks.
  • Provide escalated support for customer operational issues
  • You will collaborate with the Databricks technical team, Project Manager, Architect, and Customer team to guarantee the technical aspects of the project meet the customer's requirements.
  • Liase with Engineering and Databricks' Customer Support to provide product feedback, implementation feedback, and rapid problem resolution for engagement-specific product and support issues.

What we are looking for:

  • 4+ years of experience with Big Data technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Cloud Native, and Data Lakes in a post-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role directly engaging with customers
  • 2+ years of independent work experience on Big Data architectures
  • Comfortability writing code in either Python or Scala
  • Experience working across any Cloud Platforms (GCP / AWS / Azure)
  • Experience working with clients/stakeholders and managing conflicts
  • Prior experience working in the Databricks ecosystem is a plus
  • Develop skills in technical areas which promote the deployment and integration of Databricks-based solutions to complete customer projects.
