About the Team At Salesforce, our Data Science team, part of the Data and Analytics organization, structures customer data into data science products that enhance customer success and sales. We work alongside various departments, including executives, success managers, sales, renewal managers, and product managers. We aim to identify growth opportunities, analyze data, and provide insights that guide business decisions. Your Role [Sales] As a Senior/Lead Data Scientist on the Sales and Customer Success Data Science Team, you'll be a key player in inciting revenue growth and refining our sales operations. You'll be developing products that optimize sales strategies, performance, and drive revenue growth. In an environment spanning across the U.S. and India, you'll partner with a talented group of professionals to deliver high-impact data tools. Your Role [Customer Success] As a Senior/Lead Data Scientist on our team, you'll play an essential role in stimulating customer retention and revenue growth. You'll develop products that enhance customer experiences, increase product engagement, reduce churn risks, and identify cross-sell/upsell opportunities. Your work will yield high-impact data tools and insights that improve our customer success. Key Responsibilities Technical Excellence: You'll oversee the complete cycle of transforming ideas into production-grade data science solutions. Data Science Execution: Develop advanced data analysis and predictive modeling techniques to extract insights and support data-driven decision-making. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with diverse teams from the U.S. and India to deliver actionable data science solutions. Sales and Customer Success: You'll focus on key performance indicators, such as productivity, performance, and revenue projections. Innovation and Impact: Stay current with industry trends, contribute to best practices, and enhance existing products to increase their business impact. Effective Communication and Storytelling: Clearly communicate data science insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications An educational background in a numerate discipline. Experience in data science and machine learning, preferably in a senior role. Proficiency in writing production-ready Python code, automated using tools like Pandas, SQL, and Spark. Proficiency in one or more SQL languages and experience handling large datasets. Excellent communication skills and the ability to tell compelling data stories with visually appealing graphics.
