Job Description

Subarea: Data Science

DataLab is Experian's research and innovation unit in Latin America and Serasa Experian in Brazil. Our goal is to be proactive, anticipating the future, and consultative, identifying market evolution opportunities, using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques combined with the use of new data sources.

We create advanced innovative solutions that help clients and the market to prepare today for more assertive decisions tomorrow. In addition to having a 360° view to exchange with the best on a global scale, considering the whole and producing solutions capable of achieving great scalability.

As success cases in the last year, we developed two "spin-offs" within Experian: the Machine Learning Engineering & Operations team, which elevated the company to a new level of technology, and the business unit - Agro, which helps revolutionize credit in the Brazilian agribusiness.

What will be your main deliveries?

• You will act in an executive leadership role and will be responsible for the entire process of managing teams and projects, focusing on building a collaborative delivery aligned with Experian's objectives;
• You will be responsible for driving growth by creating new data services through the intelligent use of tools, platforms, technologies, digital services, and processes;
• You will lead innovation efforts within the area of data science and business insights, as well as manage the team's results from end to end;
• You will act as a data innovation and transformation leader, involving yourself in the development of models in a comprehensive way;
• You will continually work on the formation and development of the team in an engaged way, offering support and appropriate feedback cycles to structure high-performance and impact teams;
• You will be the technical reference for discussions and direction of actions within the developed projects. Therefore, your pragmatism and ability to formulate problems correctly will be essential to size the team's efforts and delivery;
• You will be responsible for strategically understanding business needs across the data space, using advanced data science techniques and Machine Learning approaches to solve problems and lead the development of solutions that benefit our internal and external customers;
• You will act as a professional who encourages and inspires innovation and disruption movements, maintaining proximity to the business and good relationship with stakeholders;
• You will act as a reference in the company regarding the theme of Data Science conducting training, lectures, discussion rounds that help elevate the theme in the company;
• You will ensure collaboration, knowledge sharing, and best digital practices among partners and colleagues to help build a robust data and BI ecosystem;
• In addition, you will work on identifying new data tools that can support and enhance our solutions.

Qualifications

What we are looking for in you!

• Bachelor's degree and Graduate degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related areas;
• Solid experience in applied data science and deep understanding of machine learning concepts, data science, data visualization, data insights; advanced analysis capabilities with extensive experience in programming (Python);
• Wide experience in solving analytical problems through quantitative approaches and machine learning, as well as vast experience using advanced statistical methods, data mining techniques, and information retrieval;
• Experience in designing, managing, and delivering data science solutions with a proven track record of end-to-end project delivery of Machine Learning projects;
• Experience in managing senior stakeholders and communicating complex technical information engagingly to technical and non-technical audiences;
• Previous experience managing high-performing technical teams, being able to guide and develop people;
• We are looking for professionals who have an engaging leadership profile and influencing capacity, who can lead a multifunctional team in a unified direction. Remaining accessible, demonstrating good ability in forming connections and strengthened teams;
• Fluent English for conducting global alignments.
