We are expanding our team in Data, Digital Sales, and Engagement (DDSE) Finland and looking for a passionate Data Analyst or Data Scientist to join our Analytics team. At DDSE, we are a collective of specialists in fields such as digital marketing, content production, web analysis, and data science. Our mission is to engage new and existing personal customers via digital channels and drive sales through online and mobile banking.
The Opportunity
This role is part of our Personal Banking Analytics Finland team within DDSE. We aim to create a seamless omnichannel customer experience by connecting various data sources across our platforms. The focus is to send personalized messages to our customers, offering the right products or services at the right time through the right channel.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Data Analyst / Data Scientist, you will bridge the gap between data and omnichannel customer journey development. Your responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing product portfolios, sales funnels, campaign performance, sales reports, customer segmentation, and propensity models for marketing.
- Communicating complex issues clearly to a wide range of stakeholders.
- Participating actively in digital customer journey teams, training and coaching the team to utilize data and analytics effectively.
- Providing regular updates and insights on business developments, including sales, performance, customer behavior, pricing, processes, and demand.
- Setting up customer engagement activities, analyzing target groups, evaluating data availability, monitoring outcomes, and evaluating results.
- Recommending and performing analyses of various data sources to identify trends and pain points.
- Collaborating with the data analyst community to develop analytics tools for business development.
The role is based in Helsinki, Finland.
Who You Are
We are seeking a curious and driven Customer Journey Analyst / Data Scientist. You should be comfortable working independently or collaboratively within the data analyst community to support our business stakeholders in Personal Banking. To succeed, you should:

Experience and Background
- Hold an academic degree in a highly quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Physics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, or Finance.
- Understand statistical concepts and machine learning models.
- Have 2+ years of experience in data analytics, preferably involving projects yielding tangible outcomes.
- Be proficient in data science and statistics languages such as Python, R, SQL.
- Familiar with databases like Snowflake and visualization tools like Power BI.
- Be fluent in written and spoken English; Finnish is a plus.
Additional Skills
- Adopt a proactive, innovative mindset with the ability to turn ideas into actions.
- Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with stakeholders and colleagues.
- Be passionate about teaching and supporting less experienced data users.
- Understand Agile development principles.
- Have expertise in the financial industry and teaching experience.
