As part of our HR department, you'll play a crucial role in developing effective compensation and benefits programs and streamlining people-related processes through detailed data analysis.

Role Responsibilities

Total Remuneration Benchmarking & Analysis

Participate in total remuneration surveys, model salary increases, and collect internal and external data. Input this data into the development of competitive salary structures, ensuring we stay ahead in the relevant markets. Provide valuable insights to managerial decisions on our compensation and benefits programs.

Remuneration Analytics

Identify data patterns and trends to provide insights that enhance business decision-making and planning. Recommend enhancements to policies to ensure our competitiveness in the market.

Project Support

Offer data analysis and support on various projects. Your responsibilities will vary depending on the project's scope and allocated tasks.

Collaboration

Work closely with stakeholders and various departments to drive and achieve business objectives.

Data Accuracy

Ensure monthly validation of data based on agreed principles. Maintain up-to-date and accessible information in our database and people data warehouse. Recommend and implement continuous improvements to processes and data structures as necessary.

Reporting

Conduct statistical analysis to identify trends and aid better decision-making. Support Group HR departments with data analysis as per specific requirements, contribute to Group HR strategic reporting, and develop meaningful dashboards and ratio reports. Ensure data and analysis from the Reward team are timely and accurate.

Data Modeling & Visualization

Understand source systems to model data with conformed measures supporting the HR strategy.

Support and Maintenance

Enhance reports and reporting techniques based on business requirements, prepare/update detailed documentation on processes, knowledge guides, and maintain existing dashboards.

Governance

Ensure adherence to data governance and POPIA requirements. Implement data management processes and principles when handling data.

Qualifications & Requirements

Educational Background:

  • Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management or a related field. A qualification in Computer Science, Statistics, or Finance is a plus.

Experience:

  • 3+ years as a Human Resources generalist or in other HR specialist fields
  • 1 year in Data Analytics

Skills:

  • Advanced Excel and data analytics skills
  • Basic understanding of Human Capital Management systems, Payroll systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau & Power BI
  • Knowledge in payroll report writing (SQL) is an added advantage

The ability to interpret and communicate People insights and HR objectives clearly and concisely is crucial. Retail exposure and a continuous improvement mindset are added advantages. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in business intelligence, data analysis, and visualization techniques.
