Lead Engineer for Data Integration and Ingestion

Lead/manager who enjoys being hands-on and participating in IC work. We primarily want to engage with individuals who have experience managing personnel, undertaking project management, and feel comfortable in both roles.
At the moment, the CTO and VP of Engineering are fulfilling this role and we are on the lookout for someone to come in and take the lead of this 4-engineer team. You would report to the VP of Engineering.
Remote work is acceptable or alternatively you can work onsite in Austin. Ideally, we are looking for individuals residing in the east or central timezone, but West coast early risers are welcome too!

Requirements

The list is not long, but we are fairly strict on what it is that we require.

Python proficiency is vital. Specifically, we are interested in someone who excels in either Pandas or Django, ideally both
We are searching for someone who has experience in both engineering projects and support engineering/data operations as our team handles a bit of both depending on the time of year. If we had to choose, we would prefer someone with a more operational/support engineering background as we are prepared to provide training on this side of things.
This role sometimes involves working with our customers' data teams, so we need someone who is comfortable with, and ideally even enjoys, customer interaction (via emails and Zoom/Google meetings).
Experience in projects relating to data ingestion/onboarding in enterprise SaaS would be beneficial.
Experience in the ed tech field is a plus but not the main requirement. Any kind of knowledge or use of data standards in other domains can also be beneficial. Above all, technical skills in Django and Pandas will be more crucial for this role than previous domain knowledge.
