Job Description

As a Supervisor on the Data Operations team, you will support our team in leading and establishing a solid foundation of reporting and analytics and aid internal and external clients make superior decisions by capitalizing on proven data-driven techniques. This role is cross-functional in nature, as you will not only be responsible for generating end-to-end insights but also managing several resources to take on already structured processes. In addition, one of the most vital requirements is driving bottom-line growth through ensuring operational efficiencies.

The ideal candidate must possess strong technical skills in relational databases, API data extraction, and programming in various analytics software, such as Python or R. They will automate data pipelines, build appealing/analytically profound/easy to comprehend visualizations, using software such as PowerBI or Tableau, to narrate stories and provide recommendations that can assist end-users to optimize their key performance indicators.

To be successful, the candidate must possess strong leadership skills, sound technical knowledge, as well as outstanding soft skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead reporting/analytical end-to-end project initiatives, including project management, executive communication, defining deliverables, designing data pipelines, task delegation, and resource management
  • Cooperate with agency, product, and campaign management teams to define, plan, and delegate processes for end deliverables
  • Develop data pipelines with processes varying from mining, extracting, cleansing, and transforming, to building automatable reporting and analytics dashboards
  • Deliver complex actionable analytical solutions involving heavy data and statistical modeling (e.g., data sampling, segmentation, classification, predictive modeling, etc.)
  • Lead the discovery and expansion of new and existing methodologies, tools, and algorithms
  • Manage relational databases to organize, store, and process clean data prepared for internal and clients stakeholders
  • Manage/coach/train offshore reporting and analytics resources to ensure already delineated project tasks are accomplished and solid communication with key stakeholders is occurring
  • Communicate/present analytical findings and recommendations to audiences ranging from executives to working-level team members

Qualifications

Education:

  • Undergraduate degree in Math, Analytics/Business Intelligence, Economics, Finance or another quant related field
  • Preferred Graduate degree in Analytics, Statistics, Business Intelligence or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in Data Analytics, proficiency with analytics software, and related education

Skills:

  • Preferred experience with platforms such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Social Platforms (Facebook/Twitter etc.), Big Data cloud environments, and other similar CRM platforms
  • Fluency in SQL with a strong understanding of relational database constructs
  • Proficiency in programming software (Python / R)
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau/PowerBI
  • Proficiency with MS Office products; particularly, Excel skills (Macros, Pivot Tables, Power Pivot)
  • Preferably experienced in Alteryx data cleansing/pipelining

Experience:

  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, including pipelining, cleansing, structuring, manipulating, automating, and analyzing data of various types
  • Applied data science, modeling, analytics and reporting experience, implementing and supporting data platforms to support internal stakeholders and clients
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to share technical results and recommendations to audiences at various levels of analytic understanding.
  • Experience in analytics and report scheduling/automation using tools ranging from Alteryx/Databricks/Crontab/Stored Procedures

Additional Information

Compensation Range: $70,000 - $110,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
