Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Data Scientist on the Samsung Ads Platform Intelligence (PI) team, you will leverage unique Samsung proprietary data to address product challenges, uncover new revenue opportunities, and build impactful end-to-end solutions. Collaborating with various teams, you will develop insights and deliver production solutions to drive business and technical initiatives. You will work with talented engineers and top machine learning researchers on innovative projects in a vibrant learning and creative atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a data science team to provide data-driven insights and deliver production-grade solutions to maximize data value.
  • Analyze the business health and identify product bottlenecks within the Samsung Ads ecosystem, unveiling new opportunities and guiding strategic decisions.
  • Propose and deliver end-to-end data science projects to drive business growth.
  • Apply advanced analytics, machine learning, and statistical techniques to solve challenging problems promptly.
  • Work closely with the machine learning team to define and enhance machine learning products.
  • Provide data science support to stakeholders, including designing experiments and evaluation metrics.

Experience Requirements:

  • Master’s degree with 2+ years of industry experience, or a PhD in science or engineering fields.
  • Solid theoretical background in data analytics, data mining, machine learning, and statistics.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and creative thinking.
  • Proficiency in SQL and databases.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, GO, or other OOP languages.
  • Experience with big data tools (e.g., Spark) and ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Spark ML).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with production-grade machine learning solutions and/or software development.
  • Experience with the advertising industry and real-time bidding (RTB) ecosystem.
  • Effective communication with and presentation to leadership teams, engineering stakeholders, and product owners.
  • Promote a data-driven culture by coaching different stakeholders.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this role, for candidates based in specific regions, is expected to be between $230,000 and $280,000. Actual pay will be determined based on various factors, including skills and experience and comparison to other employees in the role.
