Position Overview

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Data Science and Machine Learning, the Senior Business Analyst will oversee the complete data lifecycle for various domains, from design through to deployment. This role plays a crucial part in optimizing data assets specifically crafted for the Autodesk Assistant, ensuring seamless operationalization.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather detailed instrumentation requirements and understand their data needs.
• Design and implement precise and comprehensive data collection mechanisms, maintaining thorough documentation for processes and standards.
• Apply best data modeling practices to guarantee accuracy, consistency, and scalability across different business contexts.
• Enforce strict data quality standards through regular assessments and corrective measures.
• Foster a collaborative atmosphere by working closely with data engineers, analysts, and scientists to promptly resolve any data quality issues.
• Utilize business and technical expertise to develop production-ready data models that integrate multiple data sources.
• Adopt a forward-thinking approach to avoid oversimplifications and guide others to draw accurate, data-driven conclusions.
• Advocate for the significance of precise, data-informed strategies within and outside of our organization.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or Economics.
• Minimum of 5 years in a data-centric role such as data management, data engineering, or data analytics.
• At least 5 years of experience with data manipulation tools (SQL, Python), data workflows, and data warehouse tools like Airflow, Hive, Preso, and Snowflake.
• Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Apache Spark, Apache Kafka).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with data modeling.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with data pipelines and data engineering.
• Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and data integration.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, or other relevant languages for data operations.
