The chosen candidate will have a crucial role in working with stakeholders to capture insight requirements from the business to make decisions, and also create and design comprehensive solutions that align with those requirements while prioritizing excellent user experiences enabled through modern technology capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive and oversee collection and analysis of stakeholder requirements and architect solutions to meet those requirements.
- Lead workshops with key business subject matter experts to turn ideas into tangible solutions through the development of minimum viable product requirements (user stories), personas, and wireframes.
- Collaborate with multi-functional stakeholders to determine the best approach to testing (POC/pilot) and designing solutions that align with the business strategy.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and improvement; advocating for continuous team learning of portfolio assets, new technologies, and frameworks for analysis and consideration in new solutions.
- Prepare, review, and present complex written and verbal materials such as analyses, reports, findings, proposals, and systems training to senior stakeholders.
- Prioritize operational excellence and own and be accountable for on-time and on-budget project outcomes while providing progress updates, reporting metrics, and risk mitigations to senior stakeholders. The ideal candidate is passionate about technology and comfortable solving and reframing business issues using design and consulting mindset. Also, they should be detail-oriented, possess strong listening, verbal/written communication skills, and be capable of collaborating and overseeing others.
- Guide the definition, development, and maintenance of data standards, guidelines, and practices; Guide the design of the data models, in alignment with the solution architecture, to ensure auditability of information assets.
- Work closely with and provide requirement specifications to other Data Architects, Data Engineers, ETL, and BI development team to support optimization of the overall design.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in computer science or related field.
- Minimum of ten years of information technology experience (or eight years with a Masters) and at least two years in Data and Analytics domain.
- At least two years of experience in an architect role working with cross-functional teams (within IT and/or within the business) on enterprise-level or complex/novel system implementations.
- Experience in analytical database platforms and query languages (Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, T-SQL, PL/SQL).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as a Product Owner in an Agile (Scrum) environment.
- Experience with data modeling and related tools (Embarcadero, ERwin, DBArtisan, etc.).
- Experience working with data and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, Cognos, Business Objects).
- Experience in life sciences/bio-tech/pharma.
- Domain knowledge in finance, sales operations, manufacturing, and/or supply chain.
- Experience working in ERP (e.g., JD Edwards, Coupa, Concur) and/or data warehouse projects (data warehouse, data mart etc.).
- Experience with enterprise data management technologies & platforms, including database platforms, ETL tools, Business Intelligence (BI) Tools, and SQL.
- Experience working specifically in the areas of data management, data governance, data quality management, or as a data steward.
- Familiarity with agile product delivery methods and related tools (e.g., Jira).
- Experience in a relevant industry (e.g., medical device, pharmaceuticals etc.) or in highly regulated environments.

For California, the base pay range for this position is $123,000 to $174,000(highly experienced).
The final pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, previous experience).
