As a Senior Solutions Consultant in our Professional Services team, you will collaborate with clients on short to medium-term customer engagements aimed at solving their big data challenges using the Databricks platform. Your role will involve executing data engineering, data science, and cloud technology projects which call for integration with client systems, training, and other tasks. Your work will maximize the value customers derive from their data. You will report to the Manager, Professional Services.

The impact you will have:

  • You will participate in various impactful customer technical projects, potentially including the creation of reference architectures, instructions and fully functional prototypes.
  • You will direct strategic customers as they initiate transformational big data projects, migrations from third-party services, and be involved in every stage of the design, build and deployment of industry-leading big data and AI applications.
  • You will advise on architecture and design, kickstart or implement strategic customer projects that lead to a successful understanding, evaluation and adoption of Databricks.
  • You will deliver exception level support for customer operational problems.
  • You will work with the Databricks technical team, Project Manager, Architect and Customer team to ensure that the technical elements of the engagement are delivered to satisfy customer needs.
  • You will collaborate with Engineering and Databricks Customer Support to provide product and implementation feedback and guide quick resolution of engagement-specific product and support issues.

What we look for:

  • 6+ years of experience with big data technologies such as Spark and Kafka in a customer-facing post-sales, technical architecture or consulting role.
  • 4+ years of experience independently working on big data architectures.
  • Comfortable writing code in either Python or Scala.
  • Previous engagement with any Cloud Platforms (GCP / AWS / Azure).
  • Experience in the Databricks ecosystem would be advantageous.
  • Experience interacting with clients / stakeholders and managing conflicts.
  • Able to develop skills in technical areas that support the deployment and integration of Databricks-based solutions to finalize customer projects.
