About the Role

As an early member of Hugging Face’s Success team, your aim will be to expand accounts, focusing particularly on larger companies. Your task will be to reduce the chances of customer drop-off, but more importantly upselling premium services by making recommendations to key decision-makers - typically directors of data science and their internal clients. MLEs in the success team concentrate on service delivery, working closely with customer data scientists and machine learning engineers. As the Senior Post-Sales ML Engineer, you will interact with customer leaders and managers to ensure that they are aware of the value we offer and discuss business challenges that Hugging Face can help solve or speed up.

To be effective in this position, the Senior Post-Sales ML Engineer needs to credibly and relevantly discuss the application of transformers and diffusers models to customer business. He should understand the work being undertaken by MLEs and be able to translate it into value for the customer's business. They should accurately represent the business opportunities corresponding to the latest models and innovations shipped by the Hugging Face teams - without requiring a “technical” individual to simplify it for them.

Expected Responsibilities:

  • Understand the challenges and objectives of our customers when using transformers (NLP and Vision primarily).
  • Eagerly solve customer problems through research, coding up a solution, or consulting our many in-house experts.
  • Build significant relationships with our customers and understand their objectives.
  • Explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences effortlessly
  • Constantly learn and share your knowledge with our customers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in building NLP/Vision solutions. This position is not designed to train someone in ML basics. You should understand the ML Lifecycle and basics of cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience with the transformers library. Our customers come to us for our expertise with transformers. We expect you to have good proficiency with transformers, which you will quickly advance.
  • Self-motivated: We want individuals that can independently tackle tough challenges. While plenty of knowledgeable and cooperative people within Hugging Face are ready to collaborate, we seek individuals who are self-driven and resourceful.
  • Attention to detail: Will you write a meaningful note stating why you want to work at Hugging Face and address what we are seeking?
  • Craft and nurture positive customer relationships: we prefer people who are keen to build relationships with customers and help them succeed. This is not a position suitable for a solo coder. You will be collaborating and providing value to our customer’s ML teams.
  • Excellent communicator: Can you explain how you solved an issue to someone who isn't technically inclined? This position involves interacting with a range of roles varying from top executives to domain experts and IT professionals.
  • Coding ability: Comfortable with writing code scripts and notebooks on transformers/ML Ops use cases that will be reused by customers.
  • Quick learner: The field and the company are both growing rapidly: there are new AI/ML breakthroughs practically every week, and Hugging Face continually adds new packages to the open-source community, contributes to open science, and develops more enterprise products. We prefer an individual who enjoys learning about the latest developments and sharing them with customers.
