About the Team

Our Elastic Security team specializes in AI-driven Security Solutions for SIEM and Endpoint products. The Security ML team focuses on research, design, and development of AI and ML solutions, driving innovation in this field. We're looking for a Senior Security Engineer with Data Science expertise to join our ML team, where you'll contribute to developing cutting-edge models that secure our users against emerging threats. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement ML solutions for Endpoint Security.
  • Perform data analysis to identify new solutions and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with the Security ML team and other teams to build, deploy, and maintain ML models.
  • Establish a long-term vision for monitoring model performance to detect concept drift and determine retraining frequency.
  • Enhance models over time by leveraging both implicit and explicit feedback.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Experience in building Security solutions (Endpoint, Network, UEBA, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Python programming.
  • Experience with testing methodologies (unit tests, integration tests, regression tests).
  • Skilled in data analysis to support data quality decisions.
  • Ability to provide and receive constructive code reviews.
  • Comfortable working in a fully-remote environment.
  • Effective communication skills with diverse stakeholders in different time zones and disciplines.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and seek assistance when needed.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with designing, training, and evaluating models using popular ML frameworks.
  • Familiarity with AWS or GCP.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Buildkite or other CI/CD tools.

Compensation & Benefits

The typical starting salary range for this role is $154,000—$243,600 CAD. This is a base salary role without a variable compensation component. Employee compensation within the salary range is based on factors like education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and organizational needs.
