Meet Our Team

The AMPS (AI/ML Platform and Solutions) team is a dynamic PayPal unit consisting of Machine Learning, Data, and Software Engineers. As a Data/Machine Learning Engineer, you will be instrumental in creating advanced Data and ML solutions across multiple PayPal domains, including Risk, Fraud, Credit Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, Product Experience, and Global Operations. Your efforts are crucial in driving innovation and delivering top-tier products and services at scale.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and create scalable solutions.
• Define, architect, and manage the lifecycle of data products.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures for data collection and integration from diverse sources.
• Utilize strong SQL and programming skills to manipulate and manage large datasets.
• Ensure database operations' integrity, performance, and optimization.
• Leverage knowledge in Python, Scala, or Java to develop data engineering frameworks.
• Deploy and monitor Machine Learning models.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to meet data requirements and maintain data system reliability.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in SQL, ETL, database design, and a programming language like Python, Scala, or Java.
• Experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, HBase, and Kafka.
• Expertise in cloud platforms like Google Cloud, Azure, or AWS.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving and embracing new challenges.
