Job Description

The ideal candidate will work closely with our client's analytics, marketing, content, and consumer research teams. They're solution-oriented and have both a wide and in-depth knowledge of most digital channels. The VP, Analytics candidate possesses excellent communication skills and can lead a talented team of analytic associates in the delivery of our products and services.

Data Strategy

  • Knows how to tackle complex problems by outlining various approaches to the challenges. They can structure the approach from a cost/benefit perspective and confidently lead a team through execution.
  • Regarded as a "thought leader" within the Data team and the broader region for strategic insights and their ability to apply insights to different client situations.
  • Recognized as an expert in multiple areas and can train other team members in these areas.
  • Able to independently align internal and external stakeholders to drive strategy and achieve specific business goals.

Communication Skills

  • Adept at assessing and resolving issues, identifying and reacting to client and internal needs, and opportunities.
  • Leads client presentations, transforming them into constructive dialogues that promote discussions on improvements/new approaches focusing on additional opportunities.
  • Able to tailor presentations to suit the audience.
  • Efficient at leading work sessions and meetings even with less structured agendas.
  • Helps others assume leadership roles.

Tools & Techniques

  • Recommends and understands various applicable data tools, martech/adtech platforms, and cloud solutions to identify and address both internal and external strategic needs.
  • Understands the needs and applications of advanced analytical methods and works with Data Science/Engineering/Instrumentation SMEs to ensure the correct planning and execution of projects.
  • Identifies and evaluates potential vendors and introduces vendors within our capability.

Analytics

  • Planning and Implementation
    • Understands potential investments needed or organizational relationships that need to be prioritized to deliver against a data maturity model.
    • Can get necessary buy-in from stakeholders to measure cross-channel performance effectively.
    • Able to lead requirement gathering workshops with clients and other disciplines.
  • Insight Generation
    • Able to offer holistic recommendations to clients based on experience to ensure that suggestions for maturity are comprehensive and future-focused.
    • Shows the ability to develop models that prove the business value of analytical findings.
    • Maintains high analytical expectations across the team.

Qualifications

  • 10-12 years of CRM data and analytics experience.
  • Successfully led large-scale and complex marketing analytics engagements.
  • Mastered the digital analytics space and developed new opportunities.
  • Experience working with quantitative and qualitative research data, including social listening.
  • Has demonstrated thought leadership within their organization by becoming a subject matter expert within an analytics environment.
  • Has strong communication skills and can explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to translate findings/results into clear, actionable, and executable insights.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills - strong business development skills are a plus.
