The role

In this key position, you can significantly impact women globally through the combination of fashion and data, contributing to the profitable growth strategy of Love, Bonito.

You will be responsible for the supervision of data organization, speeding up the design and implementation of data-driven solutions, continually producing actionable insights, and launching machine learning models that bring considerable business impact.

Main responsibilities

As Love, Bonito’s Data & Analytics Lead, you will manage and lead a lean team of 8+ data professionals, maintaining relationships with cross-functional stakeholders to stimulate growth and efficiency across our business.

People Management

  • Manage a diverse data team of Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, Data Analysts, and Data Scientists based in various geographical locations.
  • Evaluate the work of less experienced team members, ensuring quality standards are met and final project outcomes are not affected.
  • Guide data leads of different facets to ensure their quarterly roadmaps are current and aligned with the company's goals.

Project Management

  • Work together with functional teams to identify, develop and carry out data opportunities with high ROI, including, but not limited to ML opportunities.
  • Manage around 7-8 projects per quarter that involve a data component, delegating planning and execution tasks to other team members while assuring the planning is accurate, execution meets expected quality standards and the delivery is on time.
  • Ability to act both as a hands-on project manager and a senior leader, tactically prioritizing weekly and quarterly tasks with the entire data team while building a robust yearly roadmap that supports the company's strategy and profitable growth desires.

Data Strategy and Vision

  • Work closely with executive-level management to create and implement the company's data strategy, focusing efforts and data products into a strategic asset that drives informed decisions in line with the company's objectives.
  • Always find creative, tech-savvy ways of delivering most of the projects, while maintaining expected service level agreements, with limited resources.
  • Be accountable for the Data & Analytics roadmap, department budget, and resource allocation.

Requirements

Must-have

  • 6+ years of overall experience in data roles, and 4+ years as an individual contributor.
  • 2+ years of experience managing varied teams of data professionals.
  • 4+ years experience in a digital company (marketplace, e-commerce, App).
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python for any of the three data domains: data engineering, data analytics, or data science.
  • Proven experience in managing end-to-end data projects.
  • Experience working with the latest data and analytics technologies:
    • Data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Metabase, QlikSense.
    • Machine learning experimentation frameworks, such as MLFlow.
    • Big data frameworks and tools, such as Spark, Hadoop, Databricks, Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of AB testing, both frameworks and tools.
  • A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or STEM discipline.

Good-to-have

  • Proof of work as a senior data scientist, developing production-ready ML models for Supply Chain and Operations or for online personalisation.
  • Experience working with agile methodologies, applying them or even implementing them within data teams.
  • Experience in e-commerce, preferably in the fashion industry.
  • Experience working on a digital product with a mobile application.
