Job Description

The Clinical Data Analyst, reporting to the Manager, Business Operations, will assist in meeting the business intelligence needs of the Diagnostic Imaging (DI) and Laboratory (Lab) departments. The role involves providing and interpreting data to support departmental decision-making, and assisting the DI quality consultants and the Lab information system consultant in managing and implementing DI and Lab systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Retrieve, create, and analyze reports from multiple databases for internal and external stakeholders
  • Utilize various reporting tools (crystal/MSM/SQL) to extract, modify, and compile data for operational requirements
  • Ensure that procedure mapping is accurate and up-to-date
  • Cooperate with stakeholders (DI, Lab, Information Services) to enable any system or process changes necessary to support operational needs and employee training
  • Assist with testing needs during any system modifications or updates affecting DI or the Lab
  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Radiology information system and Lab information system
  • Provide support to DI quality consultant, fellow Clinical Data Analyst and Lab information system consultant and act as a backup when needed

Qualifications

  • Advanced diploma (three-year college diploma) in business administration or a computer-related program
  • Three to five years of experience in healthcare data analysis
  • Familiarity with hospital computerized/electronic systems (MSM, Meditech)
  • Capability to manipulate and analyze data using various software tools
  • Experience and knowledge in DI and/or Lab services strongly preferred
  • High proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of applications such as Access and Excel
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Powerful passion for work and ability to provide adult education
  • Displays a high degree of initiative, self-direction, and critical thinking
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Ability to travel between all Osler sites
  • Ability to present information and articulate complex ideas eloquently and effectively to a non-technical audience

Additional Information

Hours: Presently days, Monday to Friday with a hybrid schedule, working both on-site and from home (might be subject to change as per operational requirements)
