Job Description

Experian Employer Services (EES) is seeking a dynamic professional to join its Data & Enablement team as a Data Engineer. This new role will support daily activities for EES business operation teams. The ideal candidate needs a wide range of skills such as knowledge of project management, data analysis, tracking practices, and agile methodologies to drive strategic data initiatives across the organization. This person should be result-driven, possess excellent interpersonal skills, maintain a positive attitude, and be comfortable working and building relationships with cross-functional teams.

What you'll be doing:

  • Promote a healthy team dynamic, use metrics to spot opportunities and motivate action.
  • Deliver clear and confident communication and presentation skills to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide hands-on technical expertise, data feed reviews, troubleshooting, and guidance to others in solving business challenges related to EES program and system requirements.
  • Act as a point of contact to ensure platform migration issues arising from data feed implementation and other payroll system changes and upgrade functions are tracked and managed through documented processes, reviews, prioritization, and communication within Experian and to our clients.
  • Assist in accurate data element mapping, efficient customer account information collection, and the dissemination of technical knowledge for data feeds and/or integrations.
  • Functional areas include implementation, client system upgrades, account migration, data ingestion, integration, data integrity, quality assurance, and API/connector strategies.
  • Strong collaboration and self-management skills are a must.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-changing environment that requires a high level of multitasking.
  • Intermediate SQL skills are required.
  • Evidence of deep knowledge of EES product data across the organization, promoting collaboration with internal stakeholders, clients, and partners.
  • Flexibility to play a variety of roles as needed by the evolving business.

Qualifications

Your background should include:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in client onboarding, application development, product implementation, data analysis, or similar.
  • 5+ years of experience in HCM implementations, data ingestion, and data analysis.
  • 5+ years of practical experience working with HR and Payroll databases.
  • Past experience in the Employer Services industry emphasizing on client-facing or customer service roles facilitating client onboarding, acquisition integration projects, data quality assurance, data connector/APIs, data analysis, or equivalent.
  • A great problem solver, who can resolve issues creatively and effectively while maintaining high levels of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • A self-starter with a flexible, initiative-taking work attitude, good judgement, and reliability.
  • Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Preferred Experience:

  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with attention to detail and practical execution.
  • Enterprise-level B2B experience working on a cross-functional team.
  • Knowledge of human capital management systems and/or HR/Payroll/Tax product offerings.
  • Experience at a technology company or consulting firm.
  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite, SQL, Python, Jira, Salesforce.

Our compensation mirrors the labor cost across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay range for this position is specified above. Individual pay within this range is determined by factors such as job-related skills, experience, education, and work location. This position also qualifies for variable pay and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, life and disability insurance, generous paid time off including parental and family care leave, an employee stock purchase plan, and a 401(k) plan with a company match.
