Your Career

We are looking for an experienced Big Data Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver novel technologies within our SASE team. We seek zealous engineers who enjoy coding and building exceptional products. Engineers who can bring innovative ideas across all aspects of software development. Your Impact

  • Design, develop, and implement highly scalable software features on our next-generation security platform as part of our Prisma Access
  • Collaborate with different development and quality assurance teams to achieve supreme quality
  • Suggest and implement enhancements in the development process
  • Work with DevOps and the Technical Support teams to troubleshoot customer issues

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • M.S./B.S. degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent military experience required
  • 10+ years of development experience
  • Experience in developing services in the cloud/Kubernetes
  • Experience with building data pipelines and analytics pipelines using dataflow, pubsub, GKE
  • Deep understanding of message queuing, stream processing, and scalable 'big data' data stores
  • Experience with RESTful interfaces and Build Management tools (Gradle, Maven)
  • Experience in continuous integration and design
  • Experience with Test-Driven Development
  • Experience with distributed computing and object-oriented design and analysis
  • Understanding of microservices-based deployments with the ability to design services
  • Showcase your adeptness in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum Process)
  • Knowledge in Big Data technologies like Hive, Kafka, Hadoop, SQL, API development
  • Experience working with GCP or other Cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure
  • High vigor and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude
  • Enjoys working with diverse teams with strong collaboration and communication skills
  • A fast learner and eager to learn new emerging technologies

The compensation offered for this position depends on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the advertised level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary plus commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $144,200/yr to $233,200/yr. The offered compensation may also include restrictions.
