Possible career progression 

Deutsche Telekom holds a massive amount of data, giving you as a Data Scientist plenty to work with. You will carry out statistical analysis with machine learning techniques' support, integrating these results into existing solutions and business workflows (determination of trends, patterns, predictive models, etc.). By joining us, you will become part of a rapidly growing Telekom IT Data Science/ ML community that operates in various Data Science fields like NLP, Computer Vision, Time Series Forecasting, etc. There are ample opportunities, and it will be up to you to choose one. WHAT WILL YOUR DUTIES BE?  

• Use NLP techniques to analyze and process textual data, extract insights, and develop models for various NLP applications like sentiment analysis, text classification, and information extraction.
• Implement Computer Vision algorithms to analyze and interpret visual data, develop image recognition models, and provide solutions for image-based tasks and applications. 
• Use Time Series Forecasting methodologies to analyze historical data patterns, create predictive models, and generate accurate predictions for future trends and patterns.
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop data-driven solutions for specific challenges and opportunities.

• Convey findings and insights to stakeholders through data visualizations, reports, and presentations, and offer recommendations for strategic decision-making in relevant fields.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance data collection and analysis processes, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and integrity throughout the data lifecycle 
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in NLP, Computer Vision, and Time Series Forecasting, and recommend innovative methods, tools, and techniques for data analysis and modeling in these domains.
• Work with the data engineering team to design and implement data pipelines and infrastructure that support data analysis and modeling initiatives.
• Guide and mentor junior data scientists and analysts, fostering a culture of learning and professional development within the team.

Qualifications

YOU WILL SUCCEED IF YOU:

• Hold a Master's degree & have a minimum of 3 years of work experience in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a similar discipline.
• Have experience with cloud platforms, like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Are proficient in Python and deep learning libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or OpenCV.
• Possess solid knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Have experience with basic DevOps tasks (building CI/CD pipelines for docker image building, deploying containers to AWS).
• Have advanced experience with version control systems.
• Possess strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop data-driven solutions for complex business problems.

• Have a desire to further develop skills and explore other data science fields within the company.
• Are fluent in written and spoken English.

Salary

The final salary is negotiable. We offer a base salary depending on the seniority level and previous experience of the candidate. In addition to the base salary, we provide a variable part and other financial benefits. The base salary will not be less than 2000 € /gross.
