In the Americas CX analytics team, you'll be amongst exceptionally talented, intelligent, and motivated individuals, who believe top-tier BI is essential to our success. To help build this expanding team, you must be highly analytical and show a robust passion for analytics and accountability, setting high ambitions focused on outstanding business accomplishment. We're seeking a Sr. BI Engineer, experienced in applying analytics to resolve complex business issues. The ideal candidate has a proven history of driving business impact through analytics. As a BI Engineer, you will work closely with internal stakeholders to conduct data analyses, develop complex SQL queries for ad hoc requests and projects, define metrics through your profound business understanding, and create self-service dashboards/reports to improve business visibility. You'll utilize your technical skills in SQL, Python or other data analysis and visualization tools like QuickSight to generate reports and build dashboards that are flexible and information-rich. Key job responsibilities include providing robust BI solutions for complex problems that are extensible and scalable, understanding high-level business objectives and continually aligning work to meet business needs, refining data strategies across functional teams, making technical decisions for long term/short-term needs, learning and comprehending a wide range of Amazon's data resources, supporting cross-functional teams on day-to-day execution of projects and initiatives, serving as a link between the business and analytics team to provide actionable insights into current business performance, driving best practices in operational excellence, data modeling, and analysis, writing high-grade code to retrieve and analyze data and create data visualizations to narrate the story of business trends, patterns, and outliers. Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience - Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools - Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines - Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab - Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling. Preferred Qualifications - Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift - Experience in data mining, ETL, etc., and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets. Our compensation adjusts to labor costs across several US geographic markets. Base pay for this position ranges from $79,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market, varying based on factors like job knowledge, skills, and experience.
