About this role:
Gartner needs a versatile and motivated Lead Analytics Engineer to be a part of the Chief Data Office Platform team. This team is accountable for innovating the platform that hosts CDO products, optimizing efficiency and cost.
This team constructs data solutions utilizing the latest technology and methodologies to analyze, develop, model, and verify interfaces, applications, logic, and services that address data challenges.
What you'll do:
Be responsible for reviewing and analyzing business requirements and designing technical mapping documents
Construct new ETL pipelines using cloud services
Drive automation across the data analytics team using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Configuration Management, and Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Delivery (CD) tools such as Jenkins.
Support MDM initiatives and work on Ataccama MDM platform for governance, data discovery, profiling, and classification. Enable task automation in Ataccama.
Assist in defining best practices and processes.
Collaborate on Data warehouse architecture and technical design discussions.
Perform and participate in code reviews, peer inspections, and technical design and specifications. Document and review detailed designs.
Provide status reports to senior management.
Maintain Service Levels and department objectives for problem resolution.
What you'll need:
An IT professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and 3 - 7 years of experience in Data warehouse design and development.
Must have:
3- 7 years experience in Data warehouse design and development
Experience in ETL using Azure Data Factory (ADF)
Experience in writing complex TSQL procedures in Synapse / SQL Data warehouse
Experience with Python, Shell scripting, and big data processing using Spark
Experience with continuous integration/delivery tools like Jenkins and infrastructure as code using Terraform
Experience in analyzing complex code and performance tuning pipelines
Good knowledge in Azure cloud technology and exposure to Azure cloud components
Good understanding of business process and analyzing underlying data
Understanding of dimensional and relational modeling
Who you are:
Either a Graduate or a Postgraduate in BE/Btech, ME/MTech or MCA is preferred
Excellent communication skills
Able to work independently or within a team proactively in a fast-paced AGILE-SCRUM environment
Takes responsibility for the successful delivery of solutions
Strong desire to improve upon their skills in tools and technologies
