Field: Data 

In 2021, Accor gathered within the "Digital Factory" its various Data teams under the sole responsibility of a Chief Data Officer.

Our primary mission is to provide the entire company - from Hotels to Management, through the various Professions - with Data and Analytics products serving multiple uses. With a strong post-COVID rebound, we are fully modernizing (massive move to Cloud) and transforming/scaling up - approx. 150 pers currently organized in Tribe/Squad & Chapter inspired by the Spotify model - and supporting the teams to incorporate this dual "Tech" & "Product" culture in the long term.

Job overview: 

Within the Data Engineering team, we are recruiting Data & Analytics Engineers to strengthen the teams responsible for both business products and the building blocks & services provided by our "Welcome Data" platform.

On a daily basis, you join a Feature Team composed of a maximum of ten people with varied profiles (PO, data analyst, scrum master, etc.), under the direct supervision of the "Tech Lead".

Missions and responsibilities:  

You are the key player in charge of supply chains, transformation, and data enhancement, participating in the design and modeling of products, ensuring compliance and maintainability of the developed solutions, and addressing technical challenges related to data volume and quality.

On a daily basis, your tasks are to:

  • Design, develop and deploy "Cloud-Native" data management solutions
  • Ensure code compliance and maintainability (TDD, comments, etc.) 
  • Detect, analyze and solve incidents or anomalies on the team's products
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects (software factory-CI/CD, supervision, catalog, etc.)
  • Understand the business purpose of the products, and especially the functional complexity of the data used
  • Ensure the consistency of the data modeling of the heritage with the help of Data Managers
  • Accompany Product or Data Science profiles in framing business data needs (availability, quality, etc.)
  • Participate in the animation of the "Data Tech" community (diffusion of good practices, code capitalization, tech watch, etc.)
  • Raise awareness among our various interlocutors about 'data' issues and benefits

Qualifications

  • Graduate in computer science, data analysis & Big Data, MIAGE, business consulting, or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of seniority related to the fields of Data & Analytics.
  • Required Data & Analytics skills:
  • Modeling & documentation of data schemas (ERD, DataVault, Star-schema, etc.)
  • Integration & manipulation of massive data (SQL, Python, etc.)
  • Implementation of data supervision (quality control, rejections, alerts)
  • Knowledge of data regulations, particularly personal data (ex: GDPR)
  • Knowledge of operational or analytical “Data” architectures
  • Use of the "Modern Data Stack" (Snowflake, dbt, Tableau, Airflow, etc.)
  • DevOps on AWS (service configuration, terraforming, etc.)
  • Expected general skills:
  • Knowledge and implementation of Agile methodologies: Scrum & Kanban
  • Culture & techniques DevOps
  • Collaboration and team working
  • Good oral and written communication
  • Autonomy and proactivity
  • Management of priorities, risks, and alerts
  • Knowledge of the hotel industry is a plus.
  • Operational English required.

Position based in Issy-les-Moulineaux or Evry with 2 days of face-to-face per week (adjustable).
