About ONE

ONE's goal is straightforward — financial progress. We aim to achieve this by offering simple solutions to assist our customers in saving, spending, and growing their money — all under one platform.

Today's U.S. consumer deserves better. Millions of Americans currently lack access to credit, struggle to build savings or wealth, and must manage their financial matters through several separate apps. Almost one-fourth of U.S. adults are either unbanked or underbanked, and approximately 80% of fintech users depend on multiple accounts to manage their finances.

What sets us apart? We have backing from a preeminent fintech investor (Ribbit) and the world's biggest retailer (Walmart), maintain the agility and independence of a startup, and boast a strong (and growing) collection of world-class talent.

There's no better time than now to establish a business that aids people in achieving financial progress. Come build with us!

As a Data Scientist, your mandate is to optimize the heart of financial services decision-making. We have a unique opportunity to design and implement a machine learning framework from scratch. • Using version control tools (Git).

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define decision model programs.

  • Efficiently working in a Python / SQL environment.

  • Additional duties as delegated by your manager.

You bring

  • An act-like-an-owner mentality. We have a bias toward taking action.

  • Education in machine learning, computer science, or other technical fields.

  • PhD / Master’s or 3 years of comparable work experience.

  • Experience building and deploying machine learning solutions using Python and Spark in a cloud environment.

Leveling Philosophy

To thoughtfully expand the company and prevent downstream inequities, we've adopted a flat titling structure at ONE. Though we may occasionally post a role externally with a prefix such as "Senior" to reflect the external level of the position, we do not use prefixes in titles like that internally unless in a position which manages a team. Internal titles typically include your specific functional responsibility, such as engineering, product management or sales, and often include additional descriptors to ensure clarity of role and placement within our organization (i.e., "Engineer, Platform", "Sales, Business Development" or "Manager, Talent"). Employees are paid in line with their experience and the internal level within ONE.

Inclusion & Belonging

To create technology and products that are used and appreciated by people and solve real-world problems, we need to assemble a team encompassing many perspectives and experiences. We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity in our company. We do not discriminate based on race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status. We encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply.
