About the Team
The Revenue team at Clari is dedicated to leading the company and market by promoting and selling the only platform specifically designed for revenue operations. Our team involves all aspects of revenue management including operations, new client acquisition, account management, and sales development. We handle the entire pipeline from creation to revenue realization, integrating enablement, programs, sales engineering, and value engineering to support our sales processes.
About the Role
We are looking for a Director of Sales Engineering to expand our customer base and drive new revenue growth. In this role, you will assist large, complex organizations in achieving greater revenue predictability with their global customer-facing teams. This position is fully remote and can be based anywhere in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of high-performing Sales Engineers, fostering continuous learning and innovation
- Collaborate with Sales Leadership to develop and implement strategies that highlight Clari’s unique market value
- Serve as a technical advisor for the Sales team, providing expertise in complex sales cycles and ensuring customer success
- Enhance the technical sales process by creating sales enablement materials and demo environments
- Engage directly with key customers, offering customized solutions using Clari’s platform
- Work with Customer Success and Support teams to ensure seamless post-sales support and customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering teams to provide market feedback and shape the product roadmap
- Stay updated on Revenue Operations, AI/ML technologies, and competitive offerings to address emerging trends
- Set clear goals and performance metrics for the Sales Engineering team, aligned with overall sales and company objectives
- Partner with HR to recruit, onboard, and retain top talent, maintaining a skilled and knowledgeable team
Qualifications
- 10+ years in Sales Engineering or related roles, with at least 5 years in leadership positions
- Proven success leading Sales Engineering teams within the SaaS industry, focusing on Revenue Operations, Sales Forecasting, or AI/ML
- Experience scaling Sales Engineering functions in enterprise-focused environments
- In-depth understanding of Revenue Operations, Sales Forecasting, CRM systems, and AI/ML technologies in sales processes
- Proficiency with tools like Salesforce, Clari, and other sales enablement platforms
- Ability to translate complex AI-driven solutions into compelling value-driven narratives
- Extensive knowledge of the sales process, including pipeline management and revenue forecasting
- Experience in collaborating with sales leadership to align Sales Engineering with sales objectives
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in fast-paced environments
- Strong relationships with customers, serving as a trusted advisor and technical expert
