About the Role

Glean is seeking an experienced Head of Solutions, Verticals, and Business Value Marketing to spearhead our marketing function targeting specific departmental and vertical use cases. This role involves developing ROI tools and methodologies to communicate business value for these solution areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Glean’s strategy for targeting specific departmental and vertical solution use cases. Prioritize and size each market accordingly.
  • Create comprehensive marketing plans for each solution/vertical area, including target personas, solution-specific messaging, outbound lead generation, and partnership strategies.
  • Design persona-specific messaging for each solution area, including sales presentations, website copy, whitepapers, demos, and demand generation assets.
  • Target initial use cases in departments such as Engineering, Customer Support, Sales, and HR/Knowledge Management.
  • Formulate product, partnership, and competitive strategies per segment, ensuring an understanding of the competitive landscape and essential features for success.
  • Curate a set of Glean prompts, workflows, actions, and tools to drive adoption in target use cases/verticals.
  • Devise a strategy for CIO-focused marketing, including messaging, demand generation activities, events, and required assets.
  • Build an ROI methodology articulating the business value of Glean, both broadly and department-specific. Train the field organization on executing business value selling with this ROI case.

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS in engineering, business, or a related field, and/or MBA.
  • 10+ years in product marketing or product management.
  • 3-5+ years of management experience, leading a team of product and technical marketing professionals.
  • Hands-on experience and ability to drive individual deliverables while building a team.
  • Expertise in solutions/vertical marketing and ROI-based selling/tools development.
  • Working knowledge of key applications and systems in departments like Engineering, Support, Sales, and Knowledge Management.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to simplify concepts and influence stakeholders.
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to balance and prioritize competing opportunities, customer needs, and business priorities.
  • Experience with software development processes, developer teams, and technical B2B SaaS products.

For California-based applicants: The standard base salary range for this position is $175,000 - $250,000 annually. Compensation will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation, equity, and benefits.
