MERL is seeking interns for a magnetic particle imaging project (https://www.mitsubishielectric.com/news/2023/pdf/0907-a.pdf). We require the intern to: (1) construct a model which outlines the magnetic particle imaging system; (2) apply several existing reconstruction algorithms and distinguish their respective advantages; and (3) ideally develop or identify a system-specific algorithm, and/or recommend measurement schemes for image reconstruction. Candidates should have a basic understanding of electromagnetic theory and strong coding skills (Python and/or C++ and/or Matlab). Students from physics, mathematics, electrical engineering, or similar fields are encouraged to apply.
