Job Description

Provide infrastructure, tools, and frameworks utilized for addressing business issues end-to-end. Construct scalable infrastructure to support business insights derived from unprocessed data sources; focus on collecting, managing, analyzing, visualizing data, and developing analytical solutions. Responsible for expanding and optimizing Standard Bank's data and data pipeline design, while improving data flow and collection to support data initiatives ultimately.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Information Technology

Experience Required

  • Data Monetization
  • 5-7 years experience required
  • Proficiency with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc. Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL relational databases, including Postgres and Cassandra. Hands-on experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, etc. Experience with AWS cloud services: EC2, EMR, RDS, Redshift. Familiarity with stream-processing systems: Storm, Spark-Streaming, etc. Proficiency with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc.
  • Strong analytic abilities pertaining to unstructured datasets. Creating processes that support data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management. A successful track record of manipulating, processing, and deriving value from vast unconnected datasets. Proficient in the message queuing, stream processing, and high-scale 'big data' data stores.
