This is where the Product Lead steps in. In essence, the Product Lead is a position where all components of a product converge, the what and the how, with complete responsibility from beginning to end. Your tasks include not only delivery and operation of a product, but also creating a vision for its development, management of its business value, and delivering a unique customer experience. Hence, we need someone who can contribute to a continuous, emerging, all-rounded product vision, that covers all components for the product life cycle, with the ultimate goal of enhancing customer impact. You will guide squads working on the product by providing them with a strategic direction, coaching them on the job, defining the product roadmap and managing stakeholders for the product. The Data Management Experts working in the squad report to you, which means it's your role to empower them to thrive and perform at their peak. You set the direction, help them develop their craft, and engage in continuous dialogues about their career development. As a Product Lead, you report hierarchically to a Product Area Lead, where multiple products converge. The Product: Customer & Agreement data Customer & Agreement data forms the basis of many reporting, analysis, and operational processes. Your product delivers well-governed and high-quality Customers & Agreement data and insights (360 view) to all these data consumers within the bank. Roles and responsibilities As a Product Lead, you: - Own a product (end-to-end), which means you are accountable for the product vision, including functionality, technology, user experience design, monetizing the functionality (or interaction pattern with internal consumers), user and customer acquisition strategies, and offline experiences required to deliver on the product’s value. - Take collective ownership of the product, including engineering and architectural aspects. - Conduct analyses to stay abreast of market trends, to ensure product’s competitive position. - Define the product roadmap to maximize business value through ordering and prioritization of the product backlog, taking into account relevant stakeholder needs. - Prioritize the product's backlog (both on functional aspects and non-functional requirements such as risks, reliability, IT Run, LCM). - Focus on delivery through collaboration, facilitating people to work collaboratively towards a common goal. - Take responsibility, steer strategy and realisations based on data and facts; possess managerial courage to question and make decisions. Act as an IT asset owner, risk manager, and, in case of a non-generic IT asset, data owner for the product and accept test results and approve (IT) changes on the product. - Ensure adherence to Process Control Standards. - Develop the skills of the employees in the team aligning with the strategy of the Tribe and Area. - Ensure compliance with relevant regulation and internal/external requirements (E.g., GDPR, SOX, BCBS239). - Act as the hierarchical manager for a team of Data Management Experts, working in multiple squads organized around your product. Proven track record and technical skills As a Product Lead, you have: - Experience in defining strategies and policies to set and deliver objectives over the medium to long term. - A strong track record in processes of digitalization, backlog management, and resource planning. - Experience in product/service management and development. - Solid experience in building and executing strategic roadmaps. - Expertise in explaining complex issues in an easy-to-understand way, leveraging strong analytical skills. - Experience in Data Management and knowledge of Data Solutions (E.g., Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, Streaming data and AI/ML). - An excellent command of English. - A Master's Degree.
