The Customer-Centric Engineering team acts as the bridge between Customer Support and Product Engineering teams. Comprising self-motivated individuals who enjoy debugging and problem-solving, we manage escalated customer issues, enhance technical support documentation, and build necessary tools.

About the Role

As an Enterprise SAAS company, Clari prioritizes customer satisfaction. Your responsibility will be to resolve customer-escalated issues by coding solutions or addressing gaps as needed. This role promises variety and continual learning as you become an expert in multiple products.

Engineers in this role are empowered to solve technical problems and implement solutions to prevent recurrence. Acting as paramedics of the engineering world, we stabilize customer escalations and refer them to product engineering teams when necessary. Contribution to documentation is also a key aspect of our role.

Responsibilities

  • Become an expert in our products, proficiently resolving complex customer issues
  • Effectively manage high-priority customer cases and escalations
  • Triage and direct escalated customer bugs to appropriate engineering teams
  • Develop workarounds or patches for reported issues
  • Analyze code and logs to provide detailed reproduction steps using tools like SumoLogic, Datadog, and New Relic
  • Enhance our product knowledge base with thorough documentation
  • Identify and advocate for permanent solutions to recurring issues
  • Work with AWS & Heroku cloud infrastructure
  • Provide support for a global customer base, including working flexible hours
  • Mentor fellow engineers on best practices

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in Software Engineering
  • Expertise in Ruby on Rails and Java; proficient in SQL, SOQL, and Apex, with familiarity in scripting languages like React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and FluentUI
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical abilities
  • Independent and team-oriented work ethic

At Clari, we aim to provide competitive wages and salaries that are motivational, fair, and equitable. Our compensation program is designed to attract potential employees, meet the needs of current employees, and promote growth. The salary range for this position is $135,000 to $225,000 CAD, including stock options and company-paid benefits.
