Your Role: Sr. Geometry and Texture Computer Vision Researcher

Bring your expertise in geometry/texture processing, computer vision tasks, and deep learning technology to Dolby. You should have proven knowledge in geometry/texture processing, image/video enhancement and restoration, computer graphics, and deep learning. Your solid understanding of trade-offs between computational complexity and the achieved performance of various implementations will guide your decisions. You will focus on researching and developing new neural network architectures, training methods, as well as representation and processing algorithms for modern computer vision.

Responsibilities

  • Innovate with cutting-edge technologies in your area of focus.
  • Understand the system context in which new technologies will be deployed and the requirements for their success.
  • Create early-stage conceptual models to demonstrate feasibility.
  • Document and present new architectures and algorithms in various formats, including technical white papers and internal meetings.
  • Maintain high technical and moral integrity both in the workplace and marketplace.

Skills, Education, and Experience Required

  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in developing algorithms for geometry representation learning (mesh, point cloud, etc.), deep learning, computer vision, and computer graphics.
  • Extensive familiarity with computer graphics, video processing systems, and corresponding software in consumer and professional products.
  • Proficiency in Matlab, C/C++, OpenCV, and Python (Tensorflow/Pytorch) programming applied to computer vision.
  • Self-motivated, quick learner, and strong collaborator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Highly Desirable

  • Experience in filing patents for newly developed technologies.
  • Hands-on experience applying Computer Vision and Machine Learning algorithms to real-world problems.
  • Proven track record with successful research accomplishments, published papers, and/or patent applications in the video encoding and processing field.

Compensation Information

The Atlanta Area base salary range for this full-time Sr. Geometry and Texture Computer Vision Researcher position is $144,600-$176,700. Salary may vary for locations outside this area. The compensation package includes a salary, bonus, benefits, and for certain roles, equity. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, with individual pay based on work location, skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education/training. Your recruiter will provide more information about the specific salary range and perks for your location during the hiring process.
