We are actively in search of a highly determined and experienced Machine Learning Engineer with a profound focus on Natural Language Processing (NLP) to drive the creation of the crucial intelligence supporting our groundbreaking products. In this role, you will cooperate intensively with different teams, running the design, execution, and production of some of the most significant systems in the insurance industry.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating directly with our Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and the broader engineering team to build and enhance ML-powered systems and products with a specific emphasis on NLP.
- Working closely with internal stakeholders to perform data analysis that meets customer needs and derive actionable insights, leveraging NLP techniques.
- Creating advanced NLP models for document classification, ranking, and annotation, which are the backbone of our core fulfillment engine.
- Designing and executing experiments to improve internal processes, enrich data collection, and refine ML models, with a strong NLP component.
- Encouraging cross-functional collaboration to handle complex product challenges, particularly those involving NLP problems.
- Leading technical discussions and contributing to essential technical decisions within the team, especially as they relate to NLP strategies.
- Developing clean, well-commented, and maintainable code across the entire technology stack, focusing on NLP implementation.
- Mentoring junior engineers, aiding the growth and development of the engineering team in the field of NLP.
- Analyzing user behavior on our platform to discover new features, trends, and insights that can improve our products, using NLP-oriented analytics.
- Contributing to the evolution and direction of our analytics practices, particularly in the area of NLP analytics.
Ideal Experience:
- You have a minimum of 4 years of hands-on ML experience with a strong portfolio of projects in the industry, with substantial emphasis on NLP.
- You possess an advanced degree or an equivalent qualification, ideally in a field related to NLP or Machine Learning.
- You are highly proficient in Python, especially for NLP-related tasks.
- You have substantial expertise in reporting, dashboard development, and data management, with a focus on NLP-oriented reporting.
- You are proficient in traditional data science tools and query languages, including pandas, NumPy, seaborn, scikit-learn, and SQL, focusing on NLP data analysis.
- You have strong interpersonal and written communication skills, and proficiency in A/B testing, statistical analysis, and applying ML theory and practice, especially in NLP contexts.
- You are familiar with AWS data services like Glue, Athena, QuickSight, and related technologies, and their application to NLP tasks.
