The Contract and Data Management Specialist (CDMS) plays a critical role in the GEM Commercial Operations, supporting roughly 80 countries with USD 300 Million in sales. In this position, a typical day will involve: - Driving the contract management process - Maintaining master data objects in the SAP system, such as customer master and rebates - Driving the price approval process and upkeep of pricing conditions in the SAP system - Analyzing data and figures, providing ad hoc reports to APL and export markets’ stakeholders - Assisting export markets’ local team in setting up contract requests, using the tools and available files - Reviewing contract requests and assigning them to the relevant functions for approval - Crafting and issuing contracts and amendments - Uploading drafts and fully executed copies to the contracts repository - Managing the approval flow of Price Change Form (PCF) and Equipment Financing Arrangement (EFA) and regularly maintaining templates - Creating and maintaining customer master data, as well as all related objects such as pricing conditions, EFA contracts, and rebates in the SAP system - Participating in projects related to Finance and Supply Chain by providing reports and analyses to assist business needs - Supporting APL and export market stakeholders by providing monthly KPIs, price lists, accrual reports, customer master, and contract reports, to ensure business efficiency - Ensuring compliance with internal and external policies and guidelines (e.g. Alcon Accounting Manual (AAM), Alcon Financial Controls Manual (AFCM), regulatory and quality requirements) - Implementing and maintaining SOPs related to GEM Contract & Data Management processes, and training respective stakeholders on our internal procedures - Actively evaluating and identifying areas of improvement in existing processes and continuously collaborating with cross-functional team members to implement “best-in-class” strategies - Conducting ad hoc controls on a monthly and quarterly basis.
