Director, Advisors Business Development, Business Intelligence (BI) - Open to Remote
Overview:
The Data & Services team is a key advantage for Mastercard, providing the innovative services that help our customers thrive. This agile team, which is centered on thinking big and quickly scaling up globally, designs end-to-end solutions for a diverse customer base worldwide. Focused on data-driven technologies and innovation, these services include payment-focused consulting, loyalty and marketing programs, business Test & Learn experimentation, and data-driven information and risk management services. This role is tasked with assisting a matrixed organization of account and product leaders to deliver an impact to our clients and add value by increasing sales and preventing revenue loss for the Mastercard Intelligence Center (MIC) and Acquirer Intelligence Center (AIC) BI products.
Role
• Drive sales processes from the initial introduction of the solution through to commercial negotiation
• Manage the process to ensure timely license renewal of our BI platforms by creating clear value for our clients
• Collaborate with the product team to develop business plans to drive long-term revenue growth
• Work with the account team to increase awareness of the platform and identify short-term sales opportunities
• Collaborate with the client services team to develop a Customer Success process to better serve customers and renew licenses
• Identify, coordinate, and convert opportunities to expand client partnerships (up-sell, add-on, cross-sell, etc.)
• Proactively identify customer risk and opportunity signals; develop strategies to combat and/or limit erosion
• Understand competitive products; can speak with authority to product differences that highlight Mastercard's advantage
• Generally, develop and deliver creative business solutions for complex business problems
All About You
• Experience navigating and influencing senior leadership in a corporate environment
• B2B enterprise sales experience preferred
• Understanding of bank issuing and payments ecosystem
• Experience in the financial institution space; previous Mastercard experience strongly preferred
• Proven history of dedicated, high-energy, patient, and customer-centric behavior
• Strong organizational skills including the ability to prioritize and escalate customer issues when necessary
• Strong presentation creation and delivery skills and the ability to establish credibility with client stakeholders
• Consensus builder and influencer capable of achieving positive outcomes in challenging renewal situations
• Detail-oriented with strengths in data analysis
• A second language is desirable
