Job Description The Consulting analytics team is seeking a data analyst to work on client-based econometric modeling projects and large internal projects run from our Vilnius office. The successful candidate will use and explore various innovative economic, econometric, and statistical modeling tools that best help us meet our clients’ strategic objectives. A common modeling and analytics project begins with identifying and conceptualizing our clients’ needs and objectives, followed by an evaluation of all potential solutions based on available data and client objectives. The final stage frequently involves identifying the most optimal economic or econometric solution. As the data analyst gains experience in building client solutions, they will also become involved in project opportunity screening and proposal creation, modeling updates, and driving client presentations and/or meetings. Key responsibilities: - Research and analyze economic, demographic, and industrial data from around the world. - Use econometric modeling techniques and analytical judgment to create custom solutions for our clients. - Participate in internal peer review meetings, contribute to finding the best solution, and provide feedback on preliminary solutions. - Present and visualize model results to clients in an easy-to-understand way. - Draw conclusions based on our analysis results. - Monitor academic literature for the latest developments in economics and statistics to ensure we use the most advanced analytical techniques. - Document each project properly and share the best modeling practices. - Commission and organize research, standardization, and modeling by freelance associates in Lithuania and around the world. - Collaborate with the sales and marketing department to evaluate client inquiries. Requirements Key requirements: - Excellent communication skills in English (both spoken and written) - Understanding and interest in international economic, demographic, and industry trends. - Good working knowledge of either R or Python, ideally both. - Experience in SQL, SPARQL, JavaScript, HTML or similar is advantageous. - Excellent analytical and organizational skills and creativity. - Confidence and ability to advance the role with minimal supervision. - Strong knowledge in mathematics and/or statistics. - A keen interest in artificial intelligence and related fields such as data science and machine learning is beneficial. - Strong knowledge in econometrics and economics is a plus. - A Master's degree in economics, statistics, econometrics, mathematics, physics or a similar field. Highly skilled candidates with a Bachelor's degree will also be considered.
