About the Role

Data is the heart of everything we do at Pagos, and our Data Analysts are crucial in maintaining the quality and uniformity of our data.

With a precise eye for details and a communicative approach, you'll join forces with our Engineering and Product teams. In this position, you'll concentrate on verifying data pipelines, debugging flawed SQL queries, and identifying data inconsistencies.

As a Data Analyst, you will:

  • Be in charge of data quality throughout the whole platform

  • Develop scalable and dependable test plans to ensure regular data delivery

  • Discover, research, and monitor bugs

  • Organize and coordinate testing activities along with cross-functional teams

  • Assist in interpreting customer and product requirements to develop and validate data models

  • Preemptively seek out and implement solutions for daily project difficulties

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for somebody who has:

  • 2-4 years of experience in Data Analysis

  • Excellent SQL knowledge with the ability to independently write and run SQL queries to extract necessary test data for setups, manipulation, and analysis.

  • Understanding of basic statistical concepts for data validation

  • The capability to read Python code and develop tests of code logic using testing frameworks, ideally with some programming ability to create and adjust automated tests

  • Experience with JSON files and how to interpret the data within

  • Experience working with extensive, large-scale relational databases and other tools to collect and analyse quantitative data

  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and strict deadlines

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, ideal for working in a worldwide asynchronous team

Desirable yet not essential:

  • Experience programming in Python, Java, C#, or a similar language

  • Experience with Redshift

  • Experience in the fintech/finance industry
