The Role

Customer Experience is a vital growth function at Imply. As a Senior Technical Success Manager, you'll bridge business and technical perspectives, fostering holistic relationships with our clients. Unlike typical retention roles, our focus is on exceeding ambitious Net Revenue Retention targets by driving adoption and expansion within our customers' organizations.

You will own a portfolio of strategic accounts, providing ad hoc assistance to smaller accounts across multiple verticals primarily in the eastern and central USA. You'll handle the customer relationship from a technical standpoint, from onboarding through to continuous adoption and usage. You'll collaborate with stakeholders to map complex business needs into data-driven solution designs on the Imply Platform, driving wider institutional adoption as you go. Additionally, you'll serve as the internal voice of your customers and act as a go-to technical resource both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a technical advisor to a portfolio of assigned accounts, including major consumer, prosumer, and B2B brands.
  • Lead new customer onboarding by mapping business needs and designing tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate strategically with customers to develop go-live success roadmaps for the first year of Imply adoption and beyond.
  • Work closely with Sales Engineers, Support Engineers, and Solution Architects to develop technical artifacts that support customer success.
  • Identify growth and expansion opportunities within your accounts, ensuring the technical and commercial viability of wider product implementations.
  • Develop domain expertise in our key verticals through customer collaboration, research, and industry events.
  • Gather product feedback from customers to shape our product roadmap.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Technical Customer Success Manager, Solutions Engineer, or Technical Account Manager.
  • Solid understanding of the data space, including cloud infrastructure, database technologies, data modeling, and visualization tools.
  • Strong emotional intelligence, enabling quick adaptation to various stakeholders.
  • Previous experience with complex software products, capable of designing solutions and gathering requirements.
  • Passion for bridging technology and business problems to deliver impactful solutions for customers.
  • Expertise in modern technology and data architectures, including SQL, cloud data warehouses, cloud provider services (AWS, Google, Azure), ETL/ELT tools, data modeling/engineering, and cloud SaaS applications.

Bonus Points

  • Experience as a data engineer or data architect.
  • Knowledge of data science/machine learning, API consumption, scripting (Python preferred), and streaming data technologies (Kafka, Confluent, Kinesis).
