Our mission is to grant renters everywhere more financial freedom to plan and experience their lives. Rhino has pioneered the industry's first comprehensive deposit platform catering to all parties involved in the rental process. Rhino is assertively addressing the urgent needs of both renters and landlords, aiming to service over $45 billion in cash deposits and security deposit insurance for 43 million rental homes across the entire rental industry nationwide.

Our initial product eliminates the need for a cash security deposit, returning money to renters through a technology-based insurance product. With Rhino, millions of renters nationwide now have the chance to save with our acclaimed deposit insurance. Besides our security deposit insurance, we also provide renters insurance. Our latest offerings include Rhino+, a cash deposit collection and compliance solution for landlords and property managers, and Credit+, which will be available to renters at partner communities.

We've already saved renters hundreds of millions of dollars and are trusted in over 2 million homes nationwide, but most importantly, we're only just beginning…

  • Conduct analyses to scrutinize and interpret data, generating actionable insights and recommendations that allow for fast but informed decision making
  • Summarize your complex analyses, visually and in writing, to effectively convey the main points to audiences that include the company at large, functional leaders, and executives
  • Acquire deep knowledge of certain business areas; work closely with functional leaders to drive strategic/operational initiatives and track and analyze performance
  • Promote a culture of data-based decision making - create dashboards, tools, and models that equip our teams to analyze their performance and answer their own queries

We’re ideally seeking:

  • 5+ years of direct experience in data analytics and/or data engineering.
  • Creation of production data pipelines and familiarity with ETL tools (e.g., DBT, Stitch, Airflow) and data warehouses (e.g., BigQuery)
  • Strong technical capabilities and proficiency in SQL, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) and Excel; experience with Python or similar scripting languages is a plus.
  • Organized and capable of efficiently prioritizing, multitasking, and adapting in a fast-paced, often changing environment.
  • Applied knowledge of measurement, statistics and program evaluation.
  • Initiative and ownership - self-starter able to independently drive projects with urgency.
  • Detail-oriented, but capable of seeing the bigger picture and applying the “80/20 rule”.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to summarize complex and nuanced concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in a high-growth startup is a plus.
