The Marketplace team at Lyft develops the company’s growth and realizes our significant business goals regarding financial measures and marketplace performance. The team contributes analysis and use cases to support Product teams, create automated tools, and manage growth investments.
We seek an analyst to join the Central Market Management team in expanding our market share. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance existing product and financial levers in the marketplace. Your role will also involve shaping the growth strategy through data analysis and competitive insights and will offer extensive exposure to executives. Furthermore, you are expected to identify and provide strategies to resolve the most pressing issues and opportunities in our marketplace. We are looking for someone with an intellectual curiosity, exceptional attention to detail, a history of analytical problem-solving skills, and adept communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Serve the marketplace operations by providing superior analysis, forecasting, and reporting to stakeholders.
- Become knowledgeable in marketplace trends and provide support for the Rideshare organization's weekly reporting structures.
- Develop specialized knowledge in our lever portfolio, assisting cross-functional initiatives in enhancing existing products and developing new ones.
- Examine marketplace product & financial levers and provide cross-functional teams with actionable insights on improvements and problem areas.
- Work within Rideshare's decision-making frameworks with a critical view, identifying areas for improvement and business growth opportunities.
- Prepare recurrent business reviews for leadership, highlighting key focus areas.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and other teams to monitor, report, and reconcile budget distribution across marketplace programs.
- Analyze data, carry out research, and consolidate feedback into plans, processes, and playbooks.
- Be proactive and dedicated in executing tasks. No one should be able to outperform you in terms of speed and quality.
- Identify opportunities and work towards realizing them.
Experience:
- 5 years of experience in a fast-growing environment dealing with data and/or financial analytics.
- Incredible attention to detail, proven experience in developing processes to eliminate human error.
- Proficiency in SQL and quantitative analysis, ability to delve into large amounts of data, extract significant insights, dissect business issues and draw actionable conclusions.
- An outcome-driven approach to making recommendations and a proven capacity to develop a story and execution plan to support our goals and objectives.
- Exceptional communication (listening, writing, and speaking) skills with the ability to present findings and suggestions in a manner suitable for the target audience.
- A fervor to understand the root issues along with the determination to find the solution.
- Excellence in dealing with ambiguity and change management.

This role will follow a hybrid working schedule once a Lyft office is established in Toronto. Team Members will be expected to work in the office three days per week (Mondays, Thursdays, and a team-specific third day). Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year.
