Job Description

The User Enablement Technology and Data Manager is in charge of the technological infrastructure that facilitates our content development teams. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the support and maintenance of content development tools and technical documentation environments for a global documentation, video, and in-app content development team, working on an array of products and technologies. They will also oversee a unit that is focused on boosting product adoption and driving business results through software usage. A successful candidate should have solid project management and content development administration experience, in addition to a high level of technical proficiency. Excellent leadership skills are crucial. This person must lead a team and perform exceptionally while operating in a rapidly moving environment with tight deadlines, while consistently producing high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities:

In charge of technical infrastructure and the content development tools utilized to develop and host software documentation, and responsible for teams and tools used for software product training.

• Simplifies and makes User Enablement infrastructure more efficient for improved scalability
• Interacts cross-functionally and cross-product to deliver user enablement environments for customers and partners
• Cooperates with content developers to create end-to-end help and learning solutions.
• Maintains User Enablement environments and applications
• Provides technical support to the global team of content developers.
• Works tirelessly to automate existing processes and suggests new ideas/solutions
• Documents standard technical processes and workflows
• Manages multiple projects and sets priorities
• Leads initiatives to gather metrics and provide User Enablement data reporting
• Directs technology-based content development for User Enablement
• Provides influential leadership to your team, challenging, coaching, and mentoring:
  • Establish standards of excellence in content architecture, in product guidance, and data delivery
  • Stimulate and engage team members, encouraging each to produce their best work
  • Coach employees and create opportunities for further growth
• Allocates projects and deadlines; holds the team accountable to meet targets.
• Measures and manages team progress against production quality and organizational goals.

Qualifications

• A university degree in a technical subject or equivalent professional experience
• 3+ years of experience in technical administration and support
• 2+ years in a manager or supervisor role
• Experience with Azure DevOps environments
• Potent skills in HTML, CSS, and Javascript
• Competency in Windows Server administration, Microsoft IIS, and API administration
• Experience supporting and administrating documentation content development and presentation tools like MadCap Flare and/or Zendesk is a plus
• Experience with digital content development tools such as Camtasia is a plus
• Experience with Pendo or other technology-based in-app guidance technologies is a plus
• Proactive, self-starter, able to multitask
• Demonstrated ability to stay updated with emerging technologies
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast and agile environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to adhere to project deadlines and deliver results
• A strong sense of responsibility and accountability
