Role Purpose

As part of the Revenue Operations team, the role of a Business Intelligence Analyst involves analyzing marketing metrics and aiding in the development of lead management processes. In this capacity, the Business Intelligence Analyst will assist various teams in understanding their reporting needs, the underlying data, and ways to transform that information into actionable insights via dashboards. The candidate will ensure that the instructions for the dashboards are well-documented and clear and then execute them using Tableau or other analytic tools like Google Analytics.

To thrive in this role, the Business Intelligence Analyst should be capable of analyzing and reporting on the performance of marketing campaigns and initiatives. They should possess a robust understanding of lead sources and their respective conversion rates and have experience in creating and implementing lead management processes that optimize the lead-to-opportunity conversion procedure and guarantee data accuracy and completeness. In addition, the Business Intelligence Analyst should be well-acquainted with key performance indicators for marketing and sales and be able to develop and track these metrics to gauge the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and lead management processes.

Position Responsibilities

  • Business Intelligence Analysts will work with a sizeable volume of data, ensuring the dataset is ready for analysis through various data cleansing processes. They identify which data and metrics are relevant to the company's goals.
  • The ideal candidate will assist in transitioning the Marketing Automation data set and will track, analyze and report on the performance of our marketing campaigns and initiatives, providing insights and recommendations to field marketers.
  • Work in close collaboration with Business Systems and Sales Operations to enhance and optimize lead management processes from lead-to-opportunity conversion in Salesforce.
  • Support the rollout and maintenance of marketing analytics platforms, verifying that information flows correctly and that integration connectors function properly.
  • Work with business intelligence, field marketing, and other teams to establish data sources that meet marketing needs - identifying and advocating for process enhancements and industry best practices.
  • Help define business processes that support data integrity and reporting.
  • Handle questions and issues from current reporting users.

Qualifications

Key Skills and Experience

  • 2-4 years experience in a business/data analyst or business intelligence position, ideally within the SaaS or Education Technology sector.
  • Experience in marketing analytics, and a robust understanding of Marketing Automation platforms like HubSpot, Marketo, or Pardot.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Tableau, Alteryx, AWS, or Snowflake, with a growth mindset to keep learning technology tools.
  • Experience in preparing and presenting reports, forecasts, trends, and recommendations to the team and management.
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics.
  • Strong presentation skills, both in writing and speaking. Excellent proficiency in English communication.
  • Self-starter passionate about solving complex problems and identifying trends and actionable insights independently.
  • High attention to detail, and robust data & root cause analysis.
  • A customer service orientation and substantial collaboration skills.
  • A university degree is preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus
